Maybe it’s the Girl Scout in me, but I have learned to always be prepared. I keep a pre-packed first aid kit ready to go at all times, so I can just pop it into my suitcase.

I suggest packing the following items in your travel first aid kit:

Bandaids + antibiotic ointment
Antihistamine tablets + hydrocortisone cream
DayQuil + NyQuil
Cough drops
Pain reducer like Advil or Tylenol
Imodium or Pepto Bismol for tummy troubles
Dramamine if you get motion sickness
Sleep aid for long plane rides if desired
Alcohol wipes
Hand sanitizer
Tissues
Sunscreen
Nuun hydration tablets
Insect repellent + aloe if you are headed to a warm destination
Check with your doctor to see if you need Malaria tablets or antibiotics

It is easy to find most of these remedies in the form of a pill or a mini travel bottle, which is especially handy for carry on purposes. Stay safe and enjoy your adventures!
