What to Pack in Your Travel First Aid Kit

July 27, 2019 by Kathryn McCue in travel tips

Maybe it’s the Girl Scout in me, but I have learned to always be prepared. I keep a pre-packed first aid kit ready to go at all times, so I can just pop it into my suitcase.

I suggest packing the following items in your travel first aid kit:

  • Bandaids + antibiotic ointment

  • Antihistamine tablets + hydrocortisone cream

  • DayQuil + NyQuil

  • Cough drops

  • Pain reducer like Advil or Tylenol

  • Imodium or Pepto Bismol for tummy troubles

  • Dramamine if you get motion sickness

  • Sleep aid for long plane rides if desired

  • Alcohol wipes

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Tissues

  • Sunscreen

  • Nuun hydration tablets

  • Insect repellent + aloe if you are headed to a warm destination

  • Check with your doctor to see if you need Malaria tablets or antibiotics

It is easy to find most of these remedies in the form of a pill or a mini travel bottle, which is especially handy for carry on purposes.  Stay safe and enjoy your adventures!

Adventure awaits.

xx Kathryn
