South Island, New Zealand: Fiordland National Park Helicopter Excursion with Over the Top

One of the biggest perks of working in the luxury travel industry is that I have the opportunity to experience epic excursions firsthand. My most memorable “work” day was my 2.5 hour Fiordland Highlights helicopter trip with Over the Top. This journey showcases the impressive diversity of Fiordland National Park, and there’s no better way to capture it’s raw beauty than from above. Check out my photo series below -

Catch stunning views of Queenstown shortly after lift off.

Then quickly climb up towards the golden peaks.

Pass over remote alpine lakes.

And winding sounds, ultimately leading to the most impressive, Milford Sound.

Head towards the sea and hug the untouched coastline.

Land on a rugged beach, only accessible by helicopter.

Walk on the black sand and explore the Jurassic Park-like rainforest.

Fly back towards the sky.

And land on a glacier.
